Frequently Asked Questions

Are you tired of paying high deductible plans that don’t cover urgent needs? Want access to your PCP within a two week time span? Check out our new approach to medicine.

What is direct primary care?

Direct primary care (DPC) is a version of healthcare that eliminates the middleman, your insurance company. We will not be billing insurance, yes you heard that right! Many insurance companies as well as Medicaid and Medicare have started to dictate the care you can receive behind closed doors. These companies often tell us (providers) what you (the patient) can or cannot have when it comes to imaging, medications, labs etc. regardless of the reasoning behind your visit. Additionally these companies often won’t pay for more than one visit per year to your primary care provider.

DPC alleviates most of that issue as we will never send you a bill for services. Each month you will be billed on a direct ACH payment for your services. You can come to the clinic to be seen as often as you like. Yes, as often as you like, as this is included in your monthly fee. Think of it as a gym membership for your healthcare. Payments can be structured through your healthcare savings account (HSA/FSA) or checking account. Your visit can also be submitted by you to your insurance if you so choose.

What is the cost?

Did you know that a high-level visit to an urgent care (imaging and seeing a provider) is billed to your insurance for over $600? Our monthly fee for DPC will be $100.00 per patient per month. Family pairs will receive a $25.00 discount per month for those who want to sign up together for services. This provides direct cost savings to any patient who needs immediate care services, even if only once per year.

What if I have insurance?

Services such as labs, imaging, medications, specialty referrals, emergency room visits, surgery, and hospital stays can and will all still be submitted to your insurance. We will have access to labs with Intermountain Health-IMH (St James) and imaging with IMH, Sound Health Imaging, and Big Sky Diagnostic Imaging here in Butte. All these services can still bill your insurance for coverage.

What are the terms?

Before acceptance as a patient individuals will be required to have an initial evaluation by Jamie Decker, FNP-C to make sure you are an appropriate patient for our practice. Upon evaluation if you are considered a good candidate, we will sign you up for a 12-month contract with our practice. As above, a monthly fee will then be drawn from the account of your choice. A one-time charge of $50.00 will be charged at sign up for associated fees.

What about telehealth?

For an $15.00 a month you can add access to telehealth services for visits. However, if it something that needs to be assessed in the clinic, we will ask you to come in for an in person visit.

What if I am a Billings TDMA patient?

Currently, we are not accepting DPC patients in Billings. Keep an eye on our social media for any future potential services.

Can I submit the monthly fee to my insurance?

While we do not submit claims or deal with insurance, we can provide an invoice for patients to submit to their insurance to see if they can be reimbursed.
